Overview

SideUp is a shipping technology platform from Egypt, expanding into Saudi Arabia. It gives online merchants one dashboard to create orders, compare couriers, and manage payments, built around a Ship Now, Pay Later model.

The Challenge

Merchants were locked into single couriers, with pricing they couldn't compare.

01

Dozens of pricing variables per courier: SLA, COD fees, weight limits, coverage. Comparison was practically impossible.

02

Merchants defaulted to one courier out of habit, missing better prices on every shipment.

03

Plan-based billing punished fluctuating volume. The recurring question: if I ship more, do I pay less?

Our Approach

Make comparison the product: switching couriers should be easier than staying.

01

Comparison-first architecture

Courier comparison became a primary surface in the dashboard, not a buried settings page.

02

Progressive disclosure

Four decision attributes lead every card: courier, SLA, service type, fees. The rest lives one click deeper.

03

Billing follows behavior

Charged on orders actually placed, not plans selected. Ship now, settle at month end.

The Work

Three flows carry the story

Courier comparison

Outcome

Switching couriers became easier than staying with one.

4 attributes

Courier decisions reduced to what actually matters.

1 dashboard

Orders, quotes, couriers and payments in one surface.

KSA-ready

Built to expand into Saudi Arabia with USD collection.

“The hardest part wasn't the interface. It was modeling courier pricing so merchants could trust the comparison.”
